All I want to know is what you're thinking of tonight when you finally turn the light off, though you've given up on sleep. You've already told me of the monster in the closet; you've already mentioned the ghost, prowling just beyond your door.
You already told me of the ghouls out on the lawn, of those creeping, crawling horrors just outside the walls.
But you never once let me glimpse those things within. What's there, in your head? What are you thinking of tonight, when you sit by the window in the darkness, waiting for the light?
Are there demons dancing through your waking dreams; are there shadows looming ‘cross your mind? Are there ghosts flitting about, from one distraction to the next; making them hollow, making them weak?
